Willie Morris Mackey

Graveside services for Willie Morris Mackey, age 82, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Dublin Memorial Gardens with Father Kyle Mackey officiating.

Mr. Mackey was born on March 22, 1942, in Dexter, Georgia. He attended Pinehurst Drive Baptist Church where he was an ordained deacon and served faithfully in several capacities for 40 years. He worked for many years with Borden Milk Company before owning and operating Williamson's Bakery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Ruth Fountain Mackey and his brother Larry Mackey. Mr. Mackey passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Fairview Park Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Mackey of Dublin; children, Chris Mackey of Dublin, Lisa Mackey (Tim) Watson of Dudley and Scott (Candy) Mackey of Dublin; niece, Tish (Robert) Boyd of Dublin; great niece, Paige Boyd of Dublin; grandchildren, Kyle (Mary Rose) Mackey of Albany, Andrew Mackey of Grundy, VA, Jon Mackey of Macon, Jacob Watson of Dudley, Morgan Watson of Macon, Jordan Mackey of Dublin and Phillip Crosby of East Dublin; and great grandchild, Sean Mackey of Albany.

The family will receive guest at the home of Chris Mackey, 204 Huntington Drive Dublin, Ga.
