Windell Tarpley

Mr. Windell Tarpley, age 88 passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Serenity Place in Dublin, Georgia. Windell was born October 19, 1932 in Wheeler County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Arthur Madison "Bob" Tarpley and Addie Day Tarpley. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Thomas Tarpley. Windell married Carolyn Moore Tarpley in February of 1956 and moved to East Dublin, Georgia in 1968. He worked for J.P. Stevens in the city of East Dublin, Georgia and retired from Laurens County Public Works. He was a member of Snow Hill Baptist Church in Wheeler County. Windell is survived by his 2 sons, Mark (Tammy) Tarpley, and Paul (Tanya) Tarpley, 4 grandchildren, Chris (Kayla) Tarpley, April (Billy) Madden, Keith (Kristin) Foskey, and Katie Foskey, and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Sunday, June 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at Snow Hill Baptist Church in Wheeler County, Georgia. Rev. Randell Tarpley and Rev. Andy Williams will officiate. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 26, 2021 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Dublin Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
