Funeral services for W.P. "Johnny" Lovett, Jr., age 86 will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in the Chan Stanley Memorial Chapel of Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory, with interment to follow at Bethsaida Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Nolon McDaniel will officiate, and Warren "Rocky" Longo will deliver the eulogy.
Mr. Lovett was born on November 4, 1930 in Norman Park, Georgia. He was the son of the late Warren Patrick Lovett, Sr. and Essie Virginia Miller Lovett. He served in the United States Army where he fought in the Korean Conflict. He was retired from Vance Foods and Mulberry Provision Company. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Lovett passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Serenity Place.
Mr. Lovett is survived by his wife, Audrey Lovett of East Dublin, a son, Michael Lovett of Bowling Green, KY, a daughter, Beverly Kaye (Billy Ray) Jackson of Stockbridge, 3 sisters, Christine Hanson of Dublin, Doris Carr of Macon, and Elneta Luckner of Eagle Lake, FL, 4 grandchildren, Sean Chapman, Ryan Lovett, Ashley White, and Andrea Lovett, and 10 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Lovett, Sean Chapman, Spence Lovett, Rob Lovett, Chris Adams, and Henry Bullard.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
