Wyman Mathis

Funeral services for Mr. Wyman Mathis, age 72, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday November 30, 2014 at Bethany Baptist Church with interment to follow at the church cemetery. Rev. Jarrett Burch and Mr. Bert Dollar will officiate. Mr. Mathis was born October 16, 1942 in Washington County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.W. & Louise Kitchens Mathis. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Tennille, Georgia and was retired from Imerys as a foreman. Mr. Mathis passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Medical Center of Central Georgia. He is survived by his wife, Inez Mathis of Wrightsville, a son, Jody (Sherry) Mathis of Suwannee, a daughter, Lisa (Bert) Dollar, a brother, Glen (Patricia) Mathis of Wrightsville, three grandchildren, John Michael Mathis, Jackson Dollar and Abigail Dollar, his beloved dog, Buffy and a brother-in-law, Roy Yarbrough of Davisboro. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Saturday , November 29, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tyler Holt, Ken Holt, Allen Mathis, Mike Sims, Chuck Shepard, Steve Shepard, Justin Shepard and Thomas Michael Sims. Stanley Funeral Home and Crematory/Wrightsville Chapel has charge of funeral arrangements.
